b'MinnesotaNorth Dakota Proud MemberHow do I get involved inCongratulations!the Union? The PROUD MEMBER PROGRAM is geared towards members who are eager to step up to improve and strengthen our union. The program builds public speaking and leadership skills through in-person or digital training and public advocacy for union priorities. Members learn skills and put those skills to work fighting for good union jobs and safe workplaces. Members who complete the proud member program earn a customized jacket. This is your opportunity to engage the community and decision makers, representing our unions priorities.Since 2018, over 1,000 members have attended one PROUD MEMBER activity, 780 have attended a PROUD MEMBER training, and over 125 have completed all program requirements. In 2025 alone, 169 members completed the PROUD MEMBER training, including members from all four Minnesota construction locals.You can fulfill the program and earn a proud member jacket by completing five of the following activities.Join us at a PROUD MEMBER Training (required to receive a jacket): Learn about our history and how we build power to create familysupporting jobs, protect strong labor standards, and keep our union strong. This counts as 5 hours of Apprentice training.Participate in PROUD MEMBER actions: Our strength depends on our members showing up to advocate for good, local union jobs in ourcommunities.
