This program started with a goal to help introduce and educate women and BIPOC communities about opportunities to become a laborer and work in the construction trades, and informing them of the great wages, benefits for their families and the free hands-on training they can receive through the apprenticeship program. We reach the communities by going to local career fairs, attending community events, talking with community-based organizations, and going into various schools where we inform them by conversation and slide presentation showing the pay, benefits, and pictures of various jobsites so they can see the type of work Laborers perform.
